Description

Background:
Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) is looking for veterinarians for its Wild Rescue Programme to rapidly respond to wildlife emergencies, especially those involving large carnivores, in the state of Uttar Pradesh.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Veterinary interventions during human-wildlife ‘conflict’ in the tiger range areas of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Wildlife health support to the Forest Department of Uttar Pradesh for treatment and protracted care of wildlife in distress.
  • Radio-collaring and monitoring of big cats released back to the wild after intervention.

Skills:

  • Ability to trek in varying terrains
  • Basic knowledge of chemical capture of wild animals, and wildlife health management

Qualifications:
Preferably a Graduate or Post Graduate in Veterinary Sciences.

Experience:
At least 2-3 years experience in the above mentioned profile.
