Verification Program Manager (m/f)

Description
FLOCERT’s Product Development department explores and develops market areas related to Fairtrade and beyond the traditional Fairtrade certification services including voluntary standards, private codes and programs as well as impact services.
As Verification Program Manager you will support the Global Head of Product Development in managing the development and implementation of our service portfolio, including the development of a new impact service. You will further create tailor made business solutions for our private customers.
Responsibilities
Support the Global Head of Product Development to:
- Implement and drive the company’s strategy for Innovation
- Develop, implement, and drive the company’s verification services in the area of impact and private code services
- Provide expert support to the Business Relations Department and help driving sales
- Identify reputational risks and implement a strategy to respond to them
- Represent FLOCERT at industry events (trade fairs, seminars, trainings, etc.)
- Establish mutually beneficial relationship with other assurance partners, standard schemes and organizations in the area of sustainability
- Engage on a regular basis with key colleagues in neighboring departments for cross-departmental brainstorming, product development and implementation
- Guide team members in Product Development as Project Owner
- Communicate proactively and frequently to internal customers and stakeholders about the content of service delivery and state of service development
Management Responsibilities:
- Manage team members from Product Development and other FLOCERT departments in cross-departmental service development and service implementation projects.
- Deputize the Global Head of Product Development
Qualifications
“Must haves”
- University level education in Business Administration, Agro-Economy with sustainability focus and/or Business Development focus or another relevant subject
- At least 5 years of work experience in either certification and/or product development, and/or brand related sustainability
- Excellent Business English in writing and speaking
- 3 years of experience in international project management
- Know-how about the Fairtrade certification and/or strong background in other Certification/Verification and/or private sustainability codes and programs
- Proven skills in customer orientation and service delivery
- Flexible and entrepreneurial working attitude
- Analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to structure and communicate precisely on complex subjects
- Team Player
- Strong cross-cultural communications skills
- Readiness to work in an innovative and fast changing environment
- Skills in working with MS Office and Database-Systems
“Nice to have”
- Advanced language skills in German and/or French and/or Spanish
- People management skills (either in line management or project management functions)
- Experience in working in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Management experience in leading departments or project groups
- Experience with other certification schemes (e.g. 4C, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, SMETA etc.)
