Job Description
Duties There are number of exciting employment opportunities across the Energy Branch in the Solar Cities Program and four new programs under the Clean Energy Future package.
The Solar Cities Team manages seven consortia nationally who are responsible for the administration of a range of trial projects aimed at improving energy efficiency in their communities.
The Information and Charities Assistance Team will deliver the Energy Efficiency Information Grants program for industry associations and non-government organisations and the Charities Maritime and Aviation Support Program which will offer a rebate for the carbon price impact on essential maritime and aviation fuels.
The Low Carbon Communities Team is responsible for the design and delivery of the Community Energy Efficiency Program to provide grants to local councils and community organisations to undertake energy efficient upgrades and the Low Income Energy Efficiency Program which will provide grants to consortia to trial and evaluate approaches to improve the energy efficiency of low income households.
The Branch is interested in a broad range of skills in the areas of stakeholder consultation, program design, implementation and administration.
As a general guide, duties will include:
1. Work independently and as part of a team on the design, implementation and administration of the program/s. 2. Liaise with high-level stakeholders and partner organisations. 3. Prepare less complex written material under direction within limited timeframes. 4. Assist with the procurement and grants funding processes with external service providers and proponents. 5. Assist with policy advice on and management of data collection, analysis and reporting. Eligibility All positions are security assessed. Successful applicants will be required to undergo a security assessment to obtain a Protected baseline Security Clearance. Notes A merit list may be created as a result of this recruitment process and used to fill vacancies across the Branch for up to 12 months.
