Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Trout Unlimited as part of our field staff in Oregon. The Upper Klamath Coordinator is a new, part time position (50-80%) located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The coordinator will work for TU and our partners to support the Klamath Agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with and support Klamath Agreement partners.
  • Share Klamath Agreement information to landowners, the public, and TU members.
  • Travel frequently to field sites or to meet with partners.
  • Identify and pursue conservation projects in the Klamath basin and nearby rivers.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and execute grant applications/reporting.
  • Work with other TU programs including Science, Watershed Restoration, Sportsmen's Conservation, and the Western Water Project to support relevant broader TU needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree and/or Law Degree preferred.
  • Experience with conservation and restoration projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Very strong inter-personal skills, positive attitude and professional demeanor, even in an occasionally contentious environment.
  • Flexibility, adaptability.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, work independently and be self-motivated and directed.
