Description

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive. Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’re also committed to safeguarding the natural world through tackling the global threat of climate cha-nge. And by helping people to change the way they live, to ease pressure on natural resources.

We have an opening in our Marine team to provide essential programme support across all five of our International Marine Programmes and have direct responsibility for overseeing WWF-UK’s investment, roughly £75K, into the Meso-American Reef (MAR) programme.

This is a fixed term contract and your main priority will be to ensure an effective exit from the MAR programme. You will also support programme management demands of the Coral Triangle and Coastal East Africa Network Initiatives and provide fundraising and communications support to international marine programmes as appropriate.

Along with experience of programme and budget management a track record in building successful relationships with a range of partners, stakeholders and donors is essential. Strong collaboration with the Climate Change team will be critical.

Although not essential it would be ideal if you have technical skills and a broad knowledge of sustainable management of marine resources and marine conservation, climate adaptation and/or international development agendas.
