Product Compliance

The Product Compliance department under Product Support in Vestas Technology R&D is responsible for different Health, Safety, Environment and Type Certification deliverables for product platforms. The tasks are solved in close cooperation with other departments and through participation in product development projects, including Request for Non Standard Products. We thus ensure that products developed by Technology R&D obtain type certifications needed.

Responsibilities:

With reference to the Manager of Product Compliance’s DK team you will be responsible for type certification deliverables and activities under product development projects and for products already in operations. You know type certification requirements and how to apply and comply with these in a product development environment. You are thus allocated to specific development projects to ensure that needed Technology R&D documentation for ensuring compliance is planned and generated.

Your tasks will involve:

• Procurement of and project management tasks related to obtaining product/type certificates based on design and related product documentation. This includes maintenance of existing type certificates
• Plan and perform type certification tasks in order to ensure that deliverables are made on time in product development projects
• Review and independently generate product design documentation, e.g. technical and status report, compliance verification, etc.
• Communication with certifying bodies on type certification deliverables
• Develop, maintain, use and educate others in usage of product type certification IT tools and systems
• Continuously improve processes and procedures for grid compliance and type certification area

Qualifications:

You have:

• Bachelor or Master in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar
• 5+ years’ experience within the area of product compliance to requirements
• Knowledge of (inter-)national given standards in this area
• The ability to navigate in a global and dynamic environment
• Customer focus and are business minded
• Goal oriented
• English language skills on negotiation level
