TUTOR

FSC Margam Park 

Port Talbot 

FSC is an educational charity which operates a network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom. We currently have a vacancy for a Tutor at FSC Margam Park in Port Talbot.

In the important and challenging role of a Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver ‘out-of-classroom learning’ activities to a wide ranging audience; engaging and enthusing students and assisting FSC achieve their goal of ‘Inspiring Environmental Understanding through first-hand experience’. The post holder will be expected to lead groups of all abilities in the natural environment with the ability to provide an appropriate standard of care for our learners. You will also contribute to all other aspects of running a busy non-residential education centre.

Previous teaching experience is essential, as is a degree in Geography or closely allied discipline and knowledge of the National Curriculum.  You will also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Contract Term:

This is a permanent post. 

Hours of work are based on a notional average of 40 hours per week. 

FSC Salary Grade:  scale points 10 - 13, currently £17,595 - £20,078 p.a.
