Turbine Engineer - Independent Engineering

GL Garrad Hassan is the world's largest independent technical and engineering consultancy for renewable energy. We are the recognised global authority on onshore and offshore wind power and also serve the wave, tidal and solar sectors.

The role is to support current GH turbine experts in performing technical reviews of turbine designs, and to support the turbine review work at GL Garrad Hassan.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing support in performing technical reviews of turbines.
• Providing local electrical expertise to the Hinnerup office.
• Liaising with a wide range of clients, from wind farm developers to financial institutions.
• Managing the project work to ensure delivery of the scope, on time and on budget.
• Undertaking grid connection analysis in conjunction with the electrical group.
• Reviewing documentation relating to turbine design, turbine components, turbine manufacturing, turbine verification (certification, component testing and turbine measurements), and operation and maintenance, including H&S documents.
• Producing and delivering presentations to clients.
• Providing technical advice, directly to clients and to other parts of GL Garrad Hassan.
• Undertaking site inspections of turbines and turbine assembly.
• Participate in R&D projects from time-to-time.

After some experience in the role, the successful candidate can expect to manage the complete project lifecycle.
