Description

Local salary, plus flights and accommodation

Dhaka, Bangladesh
2-year contract

Feel like an adventure? The Sundarbans Tiger Project is currently looking for a bright and articulate individual to join them for a minimum of 2 years in Bangladesh. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to further their career in the international environment and development arena.

The sundarbans – the world’s biggest mangrove forest holding one of the largest population of tigers – is under severe strain from human development. It supports over 5 million people through the ecosystem services it provides (water, food, shelter, etc.), and the project is looking to form strategic partnerships with in-country development donors (such as the United Nations Development Program). The Trust, Statutory and Institutional Fundraiser will lead on the development of these partnerships, which includes business development, proposal writing and reporting.

The project is looking for someone with:

• At least a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (ideally a masters)
• A demonstrable passion in people, environment and tigers
• Exceptional written skills
• Ideally Trust/institutional fundraising experience (but not essential)
• The desire to travel

In return they offer an exceptional holiday allowance to encourage travelling in country (and wider); a return flight to the UK every year; a project flat; incredible opportunities to improve performance and development; 40 of the most passionate people you will ever work with; an exciting international career.
