Description

Fundacion Para La Tierra (www.paralatierra.org) is offering one-week long courses in Paraguay, aimed at students and graduates looking to get hands-on experience in biological field methods.


 

Spend time observing Capuchin monkey behavior, monitoring dragonfly transects, and collecting data on anuran diversity in flooded forest streams. (https://www.paralatierra.org/fieldcourse/


 

The courses will be hosted within San Rafael National Park, Paraguay's largest remaining fragment of Atlantic Forest, covering nearly 70,000 hectares of primary forest, and led by Para La Tierra's multi-award winning team (Rolex Awards for Enterprise, National Geographic). 

 

 

Qualifications/Experience

This course is perfect for undergraduates and graduates who are thinking about a career in tropical conservation or animal biology. You must be at least 19 years old and able to speak English or Spanish.

Tuition/Fees

US $710 for course tuition, three meals per day and an afternoon snack, lodging at the Procosara field research stations, course materials, park entrance fees and expert instruction. Airfares to Paraguay, travel insurance and vaccinations and the hotel on the first night are not included.
