CCAP seeks applications for a transportation & climate change internship. This temporary position is located in CCAP’s Washington, DC offices.


CCAP’s mission is to significantly advance cost-effective and pragmatic air quality and climate policy through analysis, dialogue and education to reach a broad range of policymakers and stakeholders worldwide. CCAP’s transportation program focuses on assessing and enhancing the environmental and economic benefits of transportation and land use policies.

Responsibilities:
 

The internship will focus on transit-oriented development and smart growth in developing countries including:

  •     Research (best practices, capacity building resources, analytical methodologies, data)
  •     Quantitative analysis (calculating/modeling travel impacts, GHGs, economics, measurement)
  •     Policy analysis and writing

Qualifications:

  •     Current graduate student or recent graduate from a program in Transportation, Urban Planning, Economics, Environmental Science, Public Policy or a related field
  •     Coursework in transportation planning, quantitative research, economics, energy & environmental policy required
  •     Prior experience a plus
  •     Excellent research and quantitative skills required
  •     Strong oral and written communication skills


This position is available immediately for 6 months. Full time is preferred, but part time will be considered for students. This is a paid internship with no benefits provided.
