Description
As part of a wide-ranging organisational review, two vacancies have arisen for Transport Development Advisors within Merseytravel.
 
These are newly created posts working with the Head of Network Management and reporting directly to senior management.  They will fulfil a vital role for Merseytravel in the provision of transport strategy/project advice. The Transport Development Advisor will work on a variety of public transport service, strategy and infrastructure development projects as identified by the Chief Executive and other members of the senior management team and will be called upon to provide their expertise in technical and economic business case development.  Partnership development, collaborative working and close working with Liverpool City Region Partners are all important aspects of this new role.
 
With either a degree in a transport related discipline or as a Professional Member of a relevant professional institute/institution, candidates will be expected to possess and demonstrate:-
 
  •       Extensive experience within a transport related field;
  •       Experience of successful project planning, delivery and implementation, including business case development, production of tender specifications and contract management;
  •       Proven track record of successfully managing contracts, services, resources, staff and projects;
  •       Strong leadership and business management skills;
  •       Political awareness; and
  •       Relationship/client management skills working within a multidisciplinary environment.
