Training Programme Support Volunteer

 

Voluntary – travel and lunch expenses paid

1-2 days per week - flexible hours

3 months minimum

 

Thames21 is the leading waterway charity in London.  The charity is a vibrant and growing organisation with over 20 staff.  We have offices in both central and east London, as well as run ongoing projects all across Greater London. This small, dynamic charity has an opportunity for a vital voluntary member of the team.

 

Following the growth and successes of Thames21’s Training Programme, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who will support the Training Officer in developing the programme to continue to meet the needs of learners.

 

Your role will include:

  • Responding to training enquiries, updating the trainee database, monitoring trainee progress and communicating with trainees
  • Composing and distributing monthly EST (Event Support Team) newsletter, scheduling EST members for events and communicating with EST’s
  • Preparation of training materials, assessing trainee assignments and providing feedback
  • Assisting training delivery including delivering activities with groups
  • Promoting the training programme including contributing to training page of website, use of social media, developing other ways to reach new trainees and support/retain existing ones.
  • Collating data and information towards funder’s reports.
