Location: Altrincham area Closing Date: 03.09.2011 Ref: TI/1804/N2 Salary: £18,510 pa Hours: 35 per week The RSPCA, the World’s largest and oldest animal welfare organisation, is looking for a Trainee Inspector to join the Altrincham team. The main responsibilities of the post include: Rescuing or collecting animals in immediate or potential risk and boarding them within Society approved accommodation for rehoming or rehabilitation. Assisting in the investigation of animal cruelty where appropriate. To act or proceed accordingly to prevent suffering and promote good practice and compassion. The successful applicant should have: 1. 5 GCSE’s - Grade C or above or the equivalent to include English and Maths. The successful applicant will need to reside in the area that the vacancy covers, please include the reference number TI/1804/N2 on your application. The successful applicant will undertake a basic induction period in the field. Then they will be required to attend a course comprising a range of legislative, technical and practical modules ranging between 1 and 8 weeks duration, with a view towards attaining a career as an Inspector.
