Kings Park and Botanic Garden is the most visited destination in WA and offers a prestigious work environment among some of the highest profile gardens in Perth. We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic applicant for three Trainee Horticulturist positions to join our committed and passionate horticultural division. Successful applicants will gain invaluable on-the-job training and exposure to all applications of horticulture via a comprehensive in-house training program, complemented by formal study.

Applications are welcomed from people who are committed to completing a formal training contract, involving the successful trainee, Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority as the employer, Apprenticentre and the nominated Registered Training Organisation. There are three positions currently available. Please note that this traineeship opportunity is only available for Certificate Levels 2, 3 or 4 in Horticulture. Trainee contracts are based on gaining one certificate level per year. The length of the contract will be determined by the level of qualification held by the applicant. These opportunities are not suitable for people already holding a Certificate Level 3 or similar, or higher.

Pre-employment screening, including psychometric assessment applies as part of the selection process.
