FOUR PAWS is an international animal welfare organisation with headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and has offices in 10 other countries. Founded in 1988, the organisation pleads for animal welfare through sustainable campaigns and projects. FOUR PAWS focuses on animals that are directly under human influence, for example stray dogs and stray cats, laboratory animals, farm animals, wild animals and companion animals kept in inappropriate housing. FOUR PAWS aims to help animals in need directly and quickly.

We are offering an overview about the structures within an international NGO and are searching for a positive thinking personality with great affinity to animal welfare up from December 2015:

TRAINEE FOR 

PROGRAMMES DEPARTMENT (m/f)

3 months / 40 hours per week / Hamburg

Main opportunities:

• Supporting a team that focusses on well-founded research work
• Accompanying us in researching information independently
• Supporting us with translations (German – English)
• Learning about and engaging in campaigns (e.g. at information stands, operations)
• Participating in creating new and maintaining existing databases, concerning different topics 
• Supporting the team in the day-to-day business.

Requirements:

• Close to the end of an academic degree or a higher education on diploma-level in relevant fields
• First experiences in the field of campaigns desirable
• Excellent verbal and written German and English
• Very good command of MS Office package and internet research
• Passion for using modern communication technologies
• Success-oriented learning style
• Highly motivated, driven, hands-on and open-minded, curious, willing to learn
