The Tracker Applications Engineer is responsible for fostering a positive client experience. He/she ensures that Solaria’s products out-perform customer expectations and are of the highest quality possible and develops customer loyalty by optimizing the product to the customer’s needs and providing great technical support.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support for Solaria customers worldwide, ensuring a best in class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to maximize customer value.
  • Develops and maintains technical tracker manufacturer relationships.
  • Researches and compares tracker performance, quality, and costs.
  • Develops and/or enhances designs for PV mounting and tracker controller accuracy and for overall tracker optimization.
  • Creates technical tracker qualification processes.
  • Develops tracker product roadmaps aligning tracker performance with Solaria module optimal performance.
  • Supports customer understanding of tracker technologies through sales proposal process.
  • Supports customer’s installation process.
  • Evaluates tracker performance post sales and installation.
  • Fosters customer confidence.
  • Establishes and measures key performance indicators for customer care to drive behavior and performance.
  • Presents ongoing results to management and to customers..
  • Plays key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based on systems integration expertise and customer needs assessments and feedback.
  • Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested.
  • Represents the internal customer voice and is an advocate for the customer within Solaria.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of customer support and O&M issues in large-scale solar projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Passion for solar is a plus.

Domestic and international travel required.
