The Tracker Applications Engineer is responsible for fostering a positive client experience. He/she ensures that Solaria’s products out-perform customer expectations and are of the highest quality possible and develops customer loyalty by optimizing the product to the customer’s needs and providing great technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support for Solaria customers worldwide, ensuring a best in class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to maximize customer value.
- Develops and maintains technical tracker manufacturer relationships.
- Researches and compares tracker performance, quality, and costs.
- Develops and/or enhances designs for PV mounting and tracker controller accuracy and for overall tracker optimization.
- Creates technical tracker qualification processes.
- Develops tracker product roadmaps aligning tracker performance with Solaria module optimal performance.
- Supports customer understanding of tracker technologies through sales proposal process.
- Supports customer’s installation process.
- Evaluates tracker performance post sales and installation.
- Fosters customer confidence.
- Establishes and measures key performance indicators for customer care to drive behavior and performance.
- Presents ongoing results to management and to customers..
- Plays key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based on systems integration expertise and customer needs assessments and feedback.
- Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested.
- Represents the internal customer voice and is an advocate for the customer within Solaria.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Extensive hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems.
- Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of customer support and O&M issues in large-scale solar projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Passion for solar is a plus.
Domestic and international travel required.
