Purpose	To manage the Tokamak Integration Section activities, to ensure successful construction of the tokamak machine within the given costs and schedule through the management and coordination of all integration activities within the Tokamak (TKM) Directorate.
Main duties / Responsibilities	• Manages and coordinates all integration activities within the TKM Directorate which includes defining and coordinating interfaces, resolving conflicts, assisting with space allocations, coordinating the operational instrumentation development, assisting with the expertise in manufacturing technology aspects, etc.; • Prepares and implements coordination procedures to ensure the effective management of TKM integration; • Proposes solutions to resolve interface problems, and to ensure that, once agreed, solutions are promptly implemented by the concerned Divisions within the TKM Directorate; • Acts as the main interface between the Director of the TKM Directorate and all TKM Divisions and between the TKM Directorate and other ITER Directorates / Domestic Agencies for integration matters; • Works closely with all Divisions within the TKM Directorate and with other Directorates to ensure interface problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner; • Conducts reviews of various systems as required identifying and resolving coordination issues within the TKM Directorate; • Provides effective leadership for the Section ensuring team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience; • Performs other duties in support of the project schedule as described in the Detailed Work Breakdown Structure Schedule or Strategic Management Plan; • Performs other duties linked to the above purpose upon management request, as necessary; • Maintains a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of the ITER Safety Program, values and ethics.
Measures of effectiveness	• Reports to the Director of the TKM Directorate; • Acts as an interface between all Divisions within the TKM Directorate and with other Directorates; • In response to requests from the Director-General and/or Director of Department of ITER project (DIP), or proactively, informs the DG/DIP Director of any important and urgent issues that cannot be handled by the concerned line management and may jeopardize the achievement of the Project’s objectives. • Successfully and effectively manages the Tokamak Integration Section • Coordinates integration activities within the TKM Directorate; • Maintains effective communication between all Divisions of the TKM Directorate and with all other ITER Directorates as well as external collaborators; • Ensures a successful integration of the Tokamak subsystems and interface with other systems. Level of study	Master or higher degree
Diploma	Engineering filed or other relevant discipline
Level of experience	At least 10 years
Technical experience	– Experience in design, construction, system engineering and integration; – Good knowledge of specific design and engineering aspects of tokamak systems – Basic Project Management experience is required.
People management experience	5 to 7 years
Social skills	Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment Ability to work in a team and to promote team spirit Ability to communicate effectively

General skills	– Excellent capability to interact with experts from different disciplines; – Strong interpersonal and communication skills; – General familiarity with CATIA CAD software and Enovia is an asset.
