Senior expert 1: Team Leader/Rural development Specialist
Qualilkadons and skills:
At least Master degree in Agronomy, Agro-economy, Economics, or equivalent. Synthesis
capacity and ability to draft clear and concise reports
Fluency in English
Russian and/or Tajik language is an asset
General professional experience:
At least 10 years of professional experience in the implementation of rural
development or agriculture programmes in developing countries.
Specific professional experience:
A good knowledge of the EC guidelines and procedures and proven leadership and people
management skills (participated to the implementation of at least two 2-years long projects
as Team Leader).
At least one long term assignment as Team leader in implementing agribusiness or SMEs
support projects in transition countries, preferably in Eastem Europe or CIS countries
Strong analytical skills underscored by the participation in a minimum two programme formulation
missions (knowledge of how to conduct a formulation for EU-funded projects will be an
asset).
