  • Fixed term contract from May 2013 until March 2014

  • £15,039 - £17,161 per annum pro rata

  • 18.5 hours per week

  • based in Stone Dykes Barn, Stainforth, near Settle

We are looking for an adaptable and committed person to work in the Three Peaks area of the National Park. You must have experience of working on upland engineered paths. The post will focus on maintenance and survey work, leading groups of volunteers in practical tasks and planning and carrying out upland path projects. You will have experience in countryside management and public rights of way maintenance. The ability to work on your own initiative, to meet targets and produce high quality work is essential. You will be required to carry out a range of practical countryside tasks on your own and be able to provide information and guidance to the public relating to the use of public rights of way and open access land.

A qualification in countryside management is desirable. A full driving licence is required and you should be IT literate. The post is subject to a DBS assessment (previously CRB Disclosure).
