Description

Groundwork London works with communities across the capital to transform their lives and the places they live. We have been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 25 years, and today we have a simple mission: to create better places, improve people’s prospects, and promote greener living and working. We are passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny, and no one is held back by their background or circumstance.

The Nest is Groundwork London’s mental well-being support service for young people aged 0 – 25 and living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching as a remote service in May of 2020, right in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, The Nest has gone from strength to strength and we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and driven therapist to take on the role of Wellbeing Coach and join our well established 11+ team.

Supported by the Service Manager and Clinical Lead, the post holder will be responsible for delivering therapeutic interventions both from The Nest hub in Peckham, as well as a partner school in Southwark, and support the delivery of group work and our weekly drop-in sessions.

Please contact us if you have:

  • Relevant therapeutic training, e.g. counselling, art psychotherapy, etc.
  • Experience in undertaking assessment, formulation, risk assessment and safety planning
  • Experience in holding a caseload of service users
  • Knowledge and understanding of the barriers young people face when accessing support
  • Awareness of working to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, including relevant training
