The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) stands for ecological sustainability.  We get to the heart of environmental problems by tackling the underlying social and economic causes and has been a strong and effective voice for the environment for more than 50 years.

As part of ACF’s new Community Organising team we run the Australian arm of the Climate Reality Project, started by Al Gore in the US.  This program has over 600 trained and active Climate Leaders across Australia that have presented to 1 in every 50 Australians to date!

The Climate Reality Project is based on building the leadership and capacity of our Climate Leaders using a peer to peer organising model.

You will leverage the existing networks and influence of over 600 trained Climate Leaders to build power in strategic sectors and industries in Australian society.  You will be responsible for maintaining extensive relationships across business, politics, and the community and developing the leadership capacity of TCRP Climate Leaders.  You will be responsible for managing the TCRP Community Organiser and work with the Community Organising Manager.

The Climate Reality Project has been a part of ACF for years, this is an exciting and dynamic time for the role that will involve working on new strategies and aligning with a new community organising team.
