Description

The Territory Sales Associate is responsible for the administrative operation of the inside portion of the territory sales strategy with minimal supervision and direction from the Territory Manager.  

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administrative operation of the sales territory strategy in conjunction with the Territory Sales Manager (TSM);
  • Negotiate pricing on orders from large and medium-sized customers; 
  • Exercise discretion to determine which customers should have access to what level of internal resource, including technical advice and guidance in line with the territory strategy; 
  • Proactively contact customers to initiate sales or qualify potential customers;
  • Use judgment to manage and prioritize internal and external communications throughout the territory;
  • Enter orders into Sales Order Management System;
  • Ensure work processes and procedures are efficient, effective and followed;
  • Attend internal and external meetings on behalf of the TSM.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in the solar industry;
  • 2-4 years previous sales administration or sales experience is required;
  • Proficient with computer software programs such as the fullMicrosoft suite, ERP software (Oracle a plus);
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Must be comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to think critically and to solve problems;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to adapt to continual change;
  • Valid Driver’s license;
  • Acceptable driving record, background check and clean drug test.
