The Direct Dialogue unit is crucial to helping us adhere to our core principle of ‘independence’

The ‘direct dialogue’ offices across the country work to raise awareness about Greenpeace Campaigns to people on the street and inspire them to contribute funds and become a financial supporter of Greenpeace.

Purpose of the role

You will be the head for our direct dialogue operations in Kolkatta. You will be responsible for the success of the Direct Dialogue programme in Kolkatta and assume overall administrative responsibility for the office.

What will you be doing?

  • To manage a team of 25-30 people through team co-ordinators
  • To fulfil objectives for the direct dialogue operations in Kolkatta for the calendar year
  • To fulfil telefundraising objectives & targets for the calendar year
  • To fill the vacancies with suitable candidates employing varied and creative recruitment plans
  • Orientation & training of new recruits
  • Prepare reports on performance indicators for fundraising and analyse findings to support plans
  • Conduct regular meetings with team and evaluate performance
  • Cross check petty cash expenses of the office
  • Ensure Greenpeace communication by the team is according to the standards of the Organization and initiative new ways of communication
  • Proactively contribute to the overall fundraising strategies and plans of the organisation

 

What you need for this position?

-  Experience in Fundraising/Marketing

-  Experience in recruitment, orientation and management of staff

-  Excellent inter-personal skills

-  Good planning and organising skills

-  Proven skills in working on excel and generating and analysing performance data

-  Should be good at writing and speaking English

-  Exposure/Experience in voluntary organizations (preferred)

-  Understanding and belief in Greenpeace’s mission and core values

LOCATION: Greenpeace office in Kolkatta

COMPENSATION: Starting pay Rs.485, 808 per annum (cost to the organization)
