The Alliance for Scotland’s Rainforest (ASR) is a voluntary partnership of 20 organisations with a shared interest in the conservation and sustainable development of this habitat. In May 2019, they launched “The State of Scotland’s Rainforest”, which set out the case for the urgency to restore this precious habitat, and put together a strategy called ‘Saving Scotland’s Rainforest’ (SSR) by which to do it.
Part of this strategy involves influencing the Scottish Government to “promote the restoration and expansion of Scotland’s rainforest as a priority, and ensure delivery is achieved through policy support and resource allocation”.
