| Description |
Expertise required: • Background in Business, Agronomy, Development or similar relevant subject • Fluency in English; knowledge of Afrikaans, French or Portuguese would be an advantage • Extensive working experience with project management functions in the field of developmentcooperation and / or ethical trade, Corporate Social Responsibility; practical work experience of the region would be an asset • Experience in managing, mentoring and coaching direct reports including contractors • Good communication and relationship management skills • Good understanding of agricultural production, export trade and market access factors • Small Business development experience • Experience working in or with Fairtrade or with similar social standards, certification systems would bean advantage • Good understanding of factors at play in industrial relations • Working experience in developing and delivering capacity building initiatives and programmes • Preparedness to frequent travelling • Demonstrable ability to drive forward work on own initiative and lead • Team player with good social skills • Experience within an international environment |
