This is a temporary position to fill in for an employee on maternity leave; the position is available immediately through mid-November, 2011. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing park development and renovation projects within the Parks for People—Bay Area Program. The Project Manager will work with urban communities, schools, local agencies and vendors to restore, construct and maintain capital improvements for parks, gardens and school grounds. This individual will be responsible for managing park and playground renovation projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area from community outreach through construction document production, bidding and construction. This work includes managing consultants and assisting TPL staff on other projects and fundraising efforts as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage park restoration and revitalization projects in close coordination with the Program Director, Project Manager, and Project Associates.
