Temporary Plum Island Outreach Associate, Save the Sound and the Preserve Plum Island Coalition
The Plum Island Outreach Associate will work primarily out of Southold, NY, though some travel to shoreline communities in Connecticut or other western Long Island or NYC locations may be required. The outreach associate will support Plum Island related programs through specific activities such as community organizing, coalition development, social media outreach, factsheet and activist alert development, public education and presentations, and media work. This position will provide the right candidate with hands-on experience in legislative and advocacy campaign implementation, communication messaging, and person-to-person community outreach.
