Greenpeace UK is looking for a creative project manager to join the Art & Editorial Team for up to 12 months, working part-time / maternity cover.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Greenpeace's campaigns through innovative and creative engagement across communications platforms. The post holder will take creative project management responsibility for producing campaign materials and creative assets, from concept to delivery. Assets and materials range from graphics for online and print and data visualisation to audio and film production.  The post holder will help develop communications strategies for campaign projects that recruit and engage people in our campaigns and achieve our objectives, and they may lead on communications strategy development.

We are looking for someone with a commitment to Greenpeace’s core aims, values and ways of working, together with lots of initiative, enthusiasm, creative flair, strong editorial skills, excellent visual literacy and significant creative project management experience. The post holder will become part of a team responsible for high quality print production and communications design. This is a varied role where you may find yourself multi-tasking between project managing artistic production, copywriting and designing a leaflet, writing a creative brief for an agency or consultant, or leading a project team’s creative planning process.

Essential skills required:

  • Proven creative project management skills
  • Experience of managing creative agencies and multiple projects on tight and changeable schedules
  • Basic artwork skills essential. Design skills a bonus (Creative Suite).
  • Good copywriting and editorial skills, with experience of writing for a variety of audiences
  • Excellent visual communication skills

Desirable:

  • Picture editing and storyboarding experience desirable
  • Communications strategy experience desirable, within a campaigning context
  • Understanding of environmental issues a bonus
  • Experience in creative sector ranging from art, graphic design, product design, photography, film, props, theatre, fashion, textiles or performance
  • Experience in grassroots activism or campaigning
