An opportunity has arisen for a Farming Support Officer to join the team at the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty until 30 September 2025.

This role is a hands-on, feet on the ground facilitation role working with farmers and landowners and building up close relationships across different elements of the Tees-Swale programme. The post-holder will work on the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s Tees-Swale programme, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, in a supportive role to the Teesdale based Farming and Nature Officers, liaising with landowners and farmers to deliver nature recovery works. They will also work with farmers and landowners to deliver the Teesdale access work on Public Rights of Way in Teesdale.

Applicants should be educated to degree level in a related field or equivalent or substantial experience doing similar duties together with experience of working with landowners and/or farmers for common solutions in nature recovery.

Interviews are scheduled to be held on Friday 25 March 2022.
