My client is an industry-leading solar module manufacturer who is also a vertically integrated company who develop construct and operate their own projects.
Position Overview:
As the Technology Director you will be playing a key role in the development of turnkey solar projects. This is a lead position whereby you will take project through initial development and see them through to operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a background in solar system design and construction to further develop their career within a globally established and recognised brand.
Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for designing and checking solar application system, choosing equipments and providing technical support during construction
- Participate in projects research and approval, technology package, basic and detailed design, and designing and checking bidding conditions for technology, equipments, projects and construction
- Check technical documents and provide suggestions to control projects risks
- Participate in projects acceptance check and quality assessment
- Participate in discussing significant technical questions and investigating and handling big accidents
Education:
Bachelor degree in an electrical based subject or PV solar
Role Requirements:-
- 5+ years' experience in electrical industry, 3+ years' in similar positions; senior engineer preferred
- Rich solar projects' knowledge and technical experience in projects implementation
- Strong abilities in organization, leading, implementing, logic thinking, analyzing and judging
- Familiar with present standards for high and low voltage power apply, building electrical design and checking and acceptance; with related laws and regulations and national grid integration policies; Familiar with principles of transformers and how to choose them; with AC protection standards and products; Ability in checking strong and weak current design
- Familiar with theories of inverters, their functions and application conditions; choose proper inverters and other materials according to whole system design and cost; Can independently design each protection system of solar projects
