Description

The Technician & Education Assistant role will be responsible for overall maintenance, cleaning and preparation of equipment used by the groups visiting us. They will also be responsible for carrying out routine safety checks on the equipment and record keeping. The role will also have an important part to play as the first point of contact for the many groups who teach their own courses at FSC Scotland. They will also support the work the FSC does within its public aquarium, supporting groups using the facilities and with the maintenance of the attraction.

This is essentially an active role and will require the postholder to be able to carry out duties associated with effectively supporting groups in outdoor learning locations, which may be remote, whilst ensuring the health and safety of the group at all times, including carrying safety sacks.
