Technical Service Manager, Munich, Germany

My client is amongst the top five leading solar PV manufacturers and are leader in the growing renewable energy market globally. They are collaborating with a developer in the Italian market and plan to develop, construct, operate and maintain large number of solar PV projects throughout Italy and around Europe. They have subsidiaries throughout Europe, USA and the Asia-pacific region so are a well recognized name in the photovoltaic industry. They are looking to recruit a technical service manager in Germany.

Core Criteria:
My client is looking to recruit a technical service manager, with a strong technical background to oversee all technical matters and advise their clients.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Pre and after sales technical support
• ·         Support to the respective sales force
• ·         Daily contact with customers, sales force and factory technical team
• ·         On-site technical visits
• ·         Continuous contact with universities, institutes and laboratories
• ·         Internal and external technical trainings
• ·         Cooadrindate and bridge between the respective markets QA, and technology departments
• ·         Collaborate with the internally and externally to develop technical support systems and procedures

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong technical background

Core Requirements:-

• Minimum 2 years previous experience with strong technical background in solar PV company
• Excellent problem solving skills with a track record of developing solutions

• ·         Experience performing site visits and working with electrical components
• ·         Experience in solar photovoltaic design for commercial grid tied and utility scale systems and a deep understanding of the German market and normative are pluses
• ·         Experience with Oracle

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization

• Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Solar PV, technical background, PV systems experience and Fluency in German and a good level of spoken English
