Greenpeace stands for positive change through action. We defend the natural world and promote peace. We organise campaigns to protect oceans and ancient forests, prevent climate change, and eliminate toxic chemicals. At present Greenpeace Nordic employs 60 people.

Our supporters and donors play a critical role in this work, so it is essential that all information held on our databases is accurate, processed correctly and in a timely way.

You will be based in Stockholm, reporting to the Fundraising Director, working with a project team of four people. You will be responsible for delivering the final stage of an ambitious project to consolidate four legacy databases into one forward-looking application for the Nordic region.

Two countries are already in production leaving data from Denmark and Sweden to be migrated.  In addition, you will oversee the successful delivery of documentation and training materials.

We are looking for a talented individual, with experience of managing software development projects, who will manage the project to a successful delivery over the coming half year.


You will:
  • Produce project plans for the remainder of the project
  • Manage the delivery of go-live for Sweden
  • Ensure documentation and training is developed
  • Support and direct the team on a day-to-day basis
  • Deliver written and verbal reports to the project board
  • Introduce knowledge of best practice in software development

Experience:
  • Three years experience successfully managing software development projects
  • Experience of managing data migration projects
  • Certification or relevant experience of formal project management methods (e.g. PRINCE2)
  • Technical awareness in Java, Testing, Version Control, Documentation.
  • Excellent team leading skills
  • Ability to consult widely and move to a decision
  • Excellent English language skills.

This is an 8 month project position. Starting date as soon as possible.
