Chemonics seeks long- and short-term technical experts for an anticipated USAID-funded energy and climate change program in Mexico. The program is expected to promote the adoption of low-emission development approaches, primarily in the energy sector, as an integral part of USAID's broader Global Climate Change Program. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. The climate change experts will serve in a leadership role to contribute to project strategies and provide technical expertise. We seek the following technical specialists:
Environmental economists
Energy finance experts
Energy systems engineers
Renewable energy experts
Energy efficiency experts
Monitoring, reporting, and verification experts
Low-emission development strategies experts
Energy and climate change policy experts
Institutional development experts
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in the relevant field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of USAID and its operations and other donor-funded programs strongly preferred
Ability to solve complex problems and operate at advanced levels of leadership in the technical area
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
