Position Title TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

JOB PURPOSE
As a result of Enecore’s growth, a new senior management role has emerged within the organization, for a
Technical Director, to ensure the company’s project development and carbon service activities are performed with
the highest level of quality and diligence. The Technical Director will assist Project Managers on specific projects or
act as technical reviewer of project documentation, ensuring that PDDs and other documents and deliverables are
of a high quality. He / she will also be responsible for training, competency assessments and approval to perform
critical activities such as the preparation of PDD’s, CER forecasting reports and due diligences.
The Technical Director will ensure organizational effectiveness by providing management and leadership for
Enecore's project management and technical teams. He / she will be responsible for the development of a
comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS), covering the activities of the Carbon Services unit, from initial
pre-screening of projects through registration to issuance of emission reductions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Priority:
 To undertake a thorough review of existing quality assurance practices in order to make recommendations on the

appropriate systems / platforms and processes necessary to support rapid growth of the Group; and
 To design, implement and roll-out the recommended new systems and processes across the Group – including
drafting relevant policies, designing management reports and training staff as necessary.
Business-As-Usual:
 Review and ensure the highest quality to the work of project managers assigned to CDM project development,
inter alia through the technical review of PDDs, with the aim to minimise validation, registration and issuance
delays and risks;
 Review and ensure the highest quality to the work of project managers assigned to Carbon Services
development, inter alia through the technical review of client deliverables, with the aim to ensure quality and
exceed client expectations;
 Monitor regulatory and policy developments such as changes of EB rules (e.g. guidelines, procedures, tools,
forms, etc.) and broader policy trends in order to maintain the company up to date on risks and opportunities;
 Supervise and review the revision or development of new CDM methodologies where necessary;
 Manage the development and maintenance of tools to assess CDM feasibility and CER potential;
 Contribute to management discussions on strategy and operations for Project and Service Management, as well
as on broader growth plans;
 Provide technical support to commercial and sales managers when developing and/or negotiating new ventures;
 Interface with stakeholders involved in the implementation of CDM projects and carbon services (e.g. the Project
Development Forum, IETA etc.) and overall active monitoring on policy evolution with regards to energy and
climate change sectors.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
 Degree in engineering, environmental sciences or equivalent scientific disciplines;
 Intimate familiarity with the CDM process, including having been the lead developer/reviewer/auditor of CDM
projects across all major regulatory steps (LoA, Validation, Registration, Issuance);
 Experience as DOE auditor and/or renewable energy/energy efficiency project manager is considered an asset;
 Track record in designing and implementation of CDM tools and practices;
 Strong network and established profile in the carbon market;
 Strong management and leadership skills,;
 Excellent risk assessment and project review skills;
 Capacity to tackle a constantly changing and challenging agenda, to work independently and under pressure;

 Excellent communication & team management skills with an ability to assist with the operational activities of the
Group with a strategic perspective.
