Job description

Summary of Role:

As Technical Coordination Manager, you will be responsible for the technical interface between Project Management, Service, Engineering, Procurement, and Nordex Energy, Germany. This includes management of non-conformity reports from both service and projects field personnel. You will coordinate all technical issues and resolutions with the support of the Engineering department for the Project Management and Service Department and report via metrics on the status of technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Management and Service departments regarding all technical issues
  • Interface with Engineering and other related departments worldwide
  • Write and review technical reports
  • Lead task force assigned to resolve any and all serial defects in the U.S.
  • Represent Project Management and Service departments interests regarding technical modifications conducted by Central Engineering, Nordex Energy, Germany
  • Utilize resources and technical knowledge to research, define, and resolve any technical issues
  • Lead weekly meetings on current issues, status, and resolution
  • Ensure correct completion of non-conformity reports by field technicians and submit to appropriate Nordex parties
  • Support Vice President of Service in ongoing processes and quality improvements within the organization.
  • Utilize SAP in regards to NCR’s, Q notices, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 4- 6 years of experience in Project Management or Service departments within energy industry
  • Excellent technical knowledge
  • Prior quality experience (Six-Sigma/Lean)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Basic knowledge and appreciation of the technical, commercial, and political aspects driving the wind industry
  • Highly motivated
  • Capable of working independently, however, with the support from and in permanent cooperation with the other members of the Project Management department and other resources
