The Pembina Institute is seeking a bright and resourceful individual with experience in energy resource management and the environment, who is committed to helping Canada and Alberta transition towards a sustainable energy future. As the successful candidate, you will work with the rest of Pembina's Oilsands Program and Alberta Energy Solutions team, and will report to the Director of the Oilsands program. The Technical and Policy Analyst Position The analyst position will require you to understand Alberta’s oilsands sector, the history of oil and gas and oilsands development in Alberta, the environmental, social and economic implications of current and forecast oilsands development. In addition, this position will require you to raise awareness about the implications of oilsands development, potential solutions and the Institute’s approach to engaging with provincial and federal governments, First Nations, corporations and other NGOs on oilsands issues. The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in engineering, environmental studies/science, planning, public policy or related studies in natural resource science, ecology, biology, chemistry, or physics (preferred). Graduate degree an asset. Preferred Experience
