Description

Forum is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our support team in our London office. This is an ideal role for someone seeking to build experience and skills in general administration and managing professional networks whilst working in a busy and diverse office environment. It is also a great opportunity to be at the centre of and contribute to one of the UK's leading sustainable development organisations.

You will help our team of network managers, event managers and administrators to provide support to a large team of advisors, administer our many projects and partnerships, and ensure the smooth running of our London office.

Duties include:

  • support in Member and Partner research, benefits updates and tracking
  • support for meetings and general office management
  • entering and updating information in our Salesforce database, the intranet and our website
  • helping to prepare and maintain documents and systems, including working on Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents
  • preparing for and providing support at Forum events such as workshops and seminars
  • general research tasks
  • booking travel, food & accommodation
  • general support to project and partner managers
  • general support to the Network team

Person specification:

  • good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • excellent attention to detail and the completion of tasks
  • enthusiastic about being part of a friendly but busy office
  • reliable, proactive and able to take the initiative when necessary
  • highly organized, efficient and able to multi-task
  • excellent communicator with the ability to work across various busy teams
  • an interest in sustainable development is desirable

Interns would ideally work 4 days a week over a period of three months; however work hours can be negotiated. The internship is unpaid, but Forum for the Future is able to cover lunch up to £5 per day and daily transport costs to the office (within Zone 6). You will receive necessary training and support relevant to the tasks involved.
