Project: Promotion of Natural Resources Areas in Ukraine

The program, which is embedded within the framework of the German Financial Cooperation, will focus on biodiversity conservation, natural resources management and environmental services and is intended to improve the management and effectiveness of selected protected areas in Ukraine and thus also increase the acceptance of the neighboring population. Park administration staff and local population should be involved in the planning and management of protected areas and benefit from investments in selected socio-economic measures in the vicinity of protected areas.

The project will support the creation of necessary planning documents and the provision of necessary infrastructure, equipment and trained personnel (including procurement of vehicles, uniforms, office equipment and materials for environmental education) .

For the implementation, the project will be divided in two phases in a total planned period of 84 months.

Team Leader

• University degree in Natural Resources Management, Forestry or related fields.
• At least 10 years of working experience
• Experience in Consultancy Assignments in the context of German Financial Cooperation projects 
• Experience in Eastern Europe, especially in Ukraine 
• Experience managing KfW funded projects
• Experience in project execution in the context of development cooperation
• Good command of spoken and written English
