Vestas Spare Parts & Repair A/S (SPR) is a newly established business unit designed to support the Vestas Sales Business Units and their end customers. Our scope is to provide a globally competitive advantage for Vestas in aftermarket services that can support wind turbine sales in a strong manner. Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in field of responsibility
- To maintain Safety and Quality Standards in the plant (zero accidents + failure is not an option)
- To manage the people under his/her supervision (control of absences, holidays coordination, PDD reviews)
- To ensure the existing safety equipment or that installed in the resources related to its activity or in the workplaces in which activity may take place is in good working order and is used correctly
- Analyse work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
- Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
- Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
- Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
- Analyse and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
- Maintains time and production records
- Develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost and cycle times
- Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials
Qualifications:
- Basic managerial education
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a people leader
- Relevant technical background (minimum 3 years educational and additional qualification)
- Will lead and coach the team in building RCCA / CI capability
- Strong interpersonal skills / influencing tactics for internal and external communication
- Able to balance technical requirements with business/economical aspects Knowledge about LEAN / Six Sigma is preferred
- High knowledge of quality and safety
- Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial
- Knowledge and capable to use Microsoft office / IT
- High level and knowledge of machine production processes, Technical understanding of process machines
