Description

Peak Associates Environmental Consultants provides advice on matters relating to river and water pollution, drainage projects, contaminated land and flood risk assessments. You can find out more about what we do here www.peak-associates.com

However, our essential mission in life is to study and the resolve environmental problems driven by environmental regulations - so the environment is safeguarded, and our clients’ keep trading. Sometimes that’s simple and led by the science. Sometimes, it can mean dealing with difficult regulators. Which means you’ll need to be a good scientist and good communicator that can explain the science and solutions we design to those wonderful warm people who make up the UK regulatory sector!

Our projects all tend to be multi-functional so as long as you have a relevant degree and ideally a second degree and some experience in one of the areas we cover we’d be interested in talking to you. If you’re fresh out of University and like the idea of problem solving and becoming a generalist, then it would also be worth dropping us a line.

The successful candidate will be working within a multi-disciplinary organisation and therefore will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience.

The role will include, but not necessarily be restricted to:

  • Obtaining and analysing desktop (search returns) data;
  • Undertaking site survey work;
  • Preparation of data and plans for use in technical reports;
  • Manage relations with clients;
  • Liaising with consultants over lab supplies and requirements;
  • Provide support to our back office team;

Candidates should ideally have 12 months experience and a good first degree in a relevant subject, environmental science, geology, geography, engineering, physics, chemistry etc. While full training will be provided throughout the job, experience of using AutoCad would be a distinct advantage. Peak Associates is a friendly and exciting Company who welcomes applications from candidates who are highly motivated, keen to further develop their career and have an enthusiasm for new challenges.

Applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.

Applicants should email their CV and covering letter, to clarejones@peak-associates.com by 15th November 2019. But if you see this advert late don’t despair. Drop us a line as we are on a growth curve and will be recruiting soon. Please be aware that, due to the large volume of applications, should you not hear from us in up to 3 weeks after the closing date, then please assume your application has been unsuccessful. Should this be the case then the information supplied may still be retained for use in connection with future vacancies.

Salary will depend on experience but we offer a Company Pension, flexible working and car allowance although where possible you will be expected to travel by train or public transport.
