Team Leader, Nepal REDD+ Strategy

 Background

Opportunity

ECODIT is seeking qualified short-term technical assistance (team leader). We are looking for a team leader with significant experience in REDD+ and climate change to assist the government of Nepal to develop a REDD+ strategy.  

Qualifications 

 An ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Advanced degree in natural resource management, agriculture, development, or related field
  • Thorough understanding of and more than 15 years of experience in REDD+ and climate change, forest governance, and NRM policy analysis at national and international level
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting developing country governments and forestry ministries
  • Experience in developing countries and Nepal in particular
  • Project management and team coordination skills
  • Excellent oral/written communication; fluency in written and spoken English is required
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed for consultancy.
