As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a Manager with a proven record of accomplishment in LEED, climate change and incentives, to be an integral part of the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team. We currently have career opportunities in various U.S. locations.
Responsibilities
Work on multiple client engagement teams performing assessments and investigations involving environmental, sustainability, and energy issues including technical, financial, and economic analyses.
Maintain a strong client focus and develop productive working relationships with our clients.
Work in project teams from start to finish. Take responsibility for managing and successfully delivering results on several projects simultaneously.
Work in technical and operational field assessments and investigations in the area of energy, environmental and sustainability.
Provide energy and environmental subject matter knowledge to other Ernst & Young practices.
Stay informed of current technical business/economic developments and their impact to our clients.
  
To qualify, candidates must have:
  • a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
  • a degree in engineering or business preferred
  • a minimum of 4 years of utilities, energy, and Demand Side Management technical background preferred
  • utility or renewable energy industry experience a plus
  • a technical client server
  • excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
  • strong client and stakeholder engagement skills
  • solid staff management skills
Additional desired skills include:
  • Utility demand side management incentives
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation and Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Awareness of physical and strategic elements of climate change risks
  • Depth of knowledge in both current and emerging climate change policy initiatives
  • Provision of climate change and carbon market advisory services, including opportunity evaluation and setting strategies
  • Mapping and quantifying greenhouse gas emissions, determination of relative emissions impact and development of robust inventories
  • Verification or assurance of greenhouse accounts or claims
  • Environment and safety risk management
