Tanzania: Teacher Volunteering

Having the ability to read and writing in English makes a person prospect much greater, and in many of the schools, organization and communities that Kilombero Valley Ornithologocal Center works with, teachers are the most requested resource.

Volunteers teach Basic English and environmental education such as endemic, threatened and near threatened species of the area and their natural environment and helping communities to recognize the long term economic benefit of the valley ensuring that they will have a chance to apply for higher paid job in the future.

By volunteering to teach, volunteers help Kilombero Valley Ornithological Center to fulfill this demand from the communities we work with and help to create a more stable future for organization to move forward. Volunteering allows you to learn more about the area and culture that your teaching in, and provide the chance for you to give something back to the community that hosts you.

This volunteer oportunity costs 500$ US for one month up to 1500$ US for three months. These costs will cover services like Camp accommodation; three meals per day provided at the project site, Airport pick up, Internal ground to a project site, Kilombero Valley ornithological center T-shirt.
