The Environmental Justice Foundation works internationally to defend the environment and basic human rights. For five years EJF has been using ethically produced and sustainable products to raise essential awareness and funds for its work.

EJF is looking for a motivated self-starter with a proven track record in all areas of the marketing mix in particular developing and implementing effective marketing and PR campaigns with a focus on fashion products and retailing to join the team and lead the T-shirt Project and EJF Retail operations.

This exciting role will be responsible for;
- the co-ordination of EJF’s established designer t-shirt project with a focus on raising money for the charity from the sale of exclusive designer t-shirts to consumers and wholesalers and securing strong associated media that raises awareness of EJF’s Pick Your Cotton Carefully campaign.

- The creation of new collections of campaign t-shirts (or similar products) that are popular with supporters and raise essential funds and awareness for each of EJF’s campaigns (illegal fishing, climate refugees, pesticides, shrimp).

- Organising and running EJF’s series of JUST Pop Up shops – from securing locations, finding great ethical brands and products to sell, recruiting motivating and managing a team of dedicated pop up shop volunteers, raising as much money as possible on shoe-string budgets.

- Launch EJF’s latest initiative as the exclusive producer of 100% ethical produced clothing for the Captain Planet brand under license by Cartoon Network – securing retail partnerships, direct customer sales and awareness of the original green super hero and EJF’s work empowering everyone to protect people and the planet.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: creativity, great sales experience, strong organisational skills, project management experience, budget handling, amazing communication skills (writing, phone, in person), confidence working with high profile individuals, ability to work well under pressure, social networking ability, solid media understanding and experience.

The overall net funds you will be directly responsible for raising across these areas is a minimum of £70,000 in Yr 1.

Reporting to: Executive Director (ED) – Steve Trent.
Based: EJF’s offices in Islington, London
Salary: £22,000 p.a. - £28,000 p.a.
