Are you up for a challenge? We are seeking a highly motivated person for the temporary part-time role of Sustainable Homes Coordinator within the Environment and Community Outcomes team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing the highly regarded Sustainable Homes and Communities Program across the Cities of Darebin and Banyule. This includes coordinating the delivery of leadership courses, seminars, hands on events, sustainability education resources and evaluation.
The role involves coordinating an 8-week leadership course in each of the 2 councils (one evening per week over 8 weeks.) The duties also involve some weekend work.
Although the role is currently based at Darebin Council offices in Preston, there is the possibility of being located part-time at the Banyule Council offices in Greensborough.
The successful applicant will be highly self-motivated and possess:
• knowledge of and commitment to environmental sustainability and behaviour change methodologies
• excellent project, event management and facilitation skills
• understanding of relevant cross-cultural issues and experience in working with diverse communities
• excellent written and verbal communications skills including the capacity to foster collaborative relationships.
