Description

The REC is seeking to contract experts in all new EU member states except Poland (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia) for a two-year assignment being undertaken in collaboration with the EC’s European Institute of Innovation and Technology and its Knowledge Innovation Community for Sustainable Energy (KIC InnoEnergy). Starting on July 1, 2013, the REC will proactively engage educational, research, and industrial actors in sustainable, innovative and cost-competitive energy technology development and roll-out. Expressions of interest are welcome from individuals with the following skills and experience to lead in-country activities:

  • Established and working relationships with the sustainable energy technology sector and corresponding educational institutions.
  • Proven success in marketing, sales and technology transfer (e.g. advertising, presentation, turnkey assistance) in person, via telephone and through video conferencing.
  • Demonstrable skills in organising/facilitating trade and industry technology sales pitch and MSc course promotional events (min. 20 to be realised).
  • A solid understanding of sustainable energy production, storage and supply solutions including clean coal, nuclear, renewables, smart cities, and smart energy supply networks (in-depth knowledge will be shared by the technology developers themselves).
  • Knowledge of the existing and potential financial mechanisms available at national and EU levels for innovative technologies.
  • Fluency in English and one or more local languages of the above-listed countries.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently, and to lead, but also to listen.
  • Dynamism, resourcefulness, responsiveness, diligence in documenting detail and reporting achievements.
  • Readiness to travel nationally extensively, and internationally.

Remuneration will be in the range of EUR 300/day, commensurate with experience. The project’s kick-off meeting will take place in the first half of July and availability is essential.
