We are looking to grow our sustainability team in Germany, in line with our strategy and in response to an increased demand for our sustainability assurance services. Our ambition is to strengthen our position as an innovative and trusted provider of sustainability assurance services in Germany.

Responsibilities
The overall purpose of the role is to lead the delivery of assurance engagements, ensuring service excellence for clients whilst developing and maintaining new and existing relationships. Excellent opportunities will be provided for professional development and to actively participate in the development of new assurance solutions.
The main focus of the role will be the German market, but some international travel is expected. The role will often involve working with multi-disciplinary and multinational teams within DNV, and at senior management levels within our customer organisations.

As a specialist sustainability professional, you will also be able to demonstrate:
- Good academic background in science, engineering or social discipline
- Relevant experience within a specialist sustainability advisory or assurance service provider or in-house
- Experience of assessing sustainability strategies, plans and sites, as well as verifying sustainability reports from various industries
- Experience of using the GRI guidelines, AA1000AS, ISAE 3000, AA1000SES or SA 8000
- Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following: responsible investment, social audit, sustainability reporting, or GHG verification
- Excellent communication skills in German and good business English
- Excellent presentation skills, confident in interpersonal relations and in direct contact with clients
- Experience in proposal writing, workshop preparation and facilitation
- Network of other sustainability professionals and customers in Germany
- Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally
- Eligible to live and work in Germany
