Frito Lay Canada, a division of PepsiCo Foods Canada has a proud history of accomplishments in the area of Environmental Sustainability. We have been on the journey of building a company and a supply chain that has Sustainability as a core value for many years. Frito Lay Canada has also received significant external recognition in the form of ?Green Supply Chain of the Year 2009? Award from SCL and Transport Canada, ?Industrial recycler of the Year? from the Alberta Recyclers Association, and ?Industrial Pollution Prevention Award? from the Canadian Council of Ministers of Environment, to offer some examples.

We are looking to bring on an energetic and enterprising individual to work with us as we continue our work in this exciting and fast paced area. This role will focus on executing and coordinating the tactics in our Sustainability agenda and helping us move further in this field.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Work with the FLC Sustainability leader to execute the Sustainability Strategic and Operating plans
* Work with External Government and Non Government agencies on coordinating our Sustainability efforts
* Partner with internal experts in resource conservation to develop, implement and manage Sustainability tactics
* Facilitate the FLC HQ site Green Team
* Maintain and deliver regular sustainability reports on key metrics
* Lead our Zero Landfill Initiative in our Manufacturing and Distribution facilities
* Be a resource and partner for the field Supply chain and HQ on Sustainability issues
* Maintain presence at key internal and external events on the topic of Environmental Sustainability
* Manage external funding and grants in relation to conservation programs and sustainability
* Submit external media materials as required in coordination with internal representatives on our Sustainability efforts
* Coordinate and manage external recognition and partnership programs
* Coordinate internal conferences, meeting, and events on the topic
* Support field Energy Conservation and Sustainability activities as required
* Conduct research, analysis, and other activities as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Solid knowledge base on local and global Sustainability issues and solutions
- Technical knowledge of energy conservation and environmental preservation solutions and applications. An Engineering or Technical background is helpful in this area.
- Sound understanding of the key issues facing individuals, businesses, and governments in the field of Environmental Sustainability in North America; How to integrate it into business culture to create a true advantage
- Knowledge of and contacts with industry experts, potential partners, and resources
- A true and honest passion for environmental responsibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in giving internal and external presentations, sending documentation and information to Government and NGO?s etc. Strong written skills to communicate with external agencies, Government Bodies, Customers, etc. Should be comfortable in giving presentations at various levels of the organization
- Strong computer skills in Excel & PowerPoint, for analysis, reporting, and presentations etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage priorities
- Ability to travel as needed within and outside Canada
- Innovative and positive thinking driving to creative solutions and leveraging teamwork to achieve results
- Fast pace learner to meet new people, gather new knowledge, ideate, plan and lead new initiatives in the future
- Bachelor?s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Business, or related field
- Some prior experience (ideally 2- 3+ years) in managing sustainability or conservation projects
